For the 14th Annual Monster Massive Halloween weekend on Saturday, Oct. 29, world-renowned DJ Erick Morillo will make his Monster Massive debut, along with Moby and, for the first time in the United States, Armin Only: Mirage, an eight-hour choreographed performance by DJ Armin; other featured performers include Tomb of Doom, House of Horror, Witches Woods and more. Held at the Oak Canyon Park in Irvine, Calif., America’s largest Halloween dance music festival will take Halloween to devilishly awesome heights.
In Stockton, Calif., groups of revelers can celebrate a costume pub crawl on Saturday, Oct. 29, in the downtown district. Featuring eight venues, prices include $10 for the designated-driver package, $20 for a participant in costume and $25 for participants who don’t dress up. Patrons will receive discounted food and drink specials and free trolley transportation; each bar with host different contests, attracting participants to each establishment.
Surrender at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas is offering two themed parties this Halloween. On Wednesday, Oct. 26, resident DJs Nervo will host industry night; the winner of the Best Costume contest will receive a $10,000 cash prize. Meanwhile, on Oct. 31, Lil Jon will host Surrender’s Halloween party, where the winner of the Best Costume contest will walk away with a $25,000 prize.
San Diego is pulling out all of the stops for Halloween this year. Mega-club FLUXX, 2011 winner of Nightclub & Bar New Club of the Year award, is celebrating Halloween the whole holiday weekend. On Friday, Oct. 28, the club will host “Yelloween,” an upscale Halloween affair featuring DJ Melo D followed by Saturday night’s “Prelude” to Halloween with DJ Sid Vicious and Rico DeLargo on the trumpet. Finally, partying culminates on Monday, Oct. 31, with the club’s “Fetish” event, which will feature a special performances by Too Short and DJ Brett Bodley. The cover charge for each night is $20.
Meanwhile, ultra-lounge Side Bar, also in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter, is transforming into “Asylum,” a haunted-hospital-themed nightclub where bartenders, bottle service waitresses and dancers will be dressed as crazy doctors and nurses. During the party on Oct. 29, Side Bar will hold a costume contest with the winner receiving a cash prize. All of this leads up to Halloween morning, when the club will host a Zombie-themed party from 5 to 10 a.m.
Also, at San Diego’s new hip-hop venue F6ix will transform into a back-street alley taken over by zombies and graveyard ghosts for its “Thriller”-themed party, which pays tribute to Michael Jackson’s classic song and video. Additionally, on Saturday, Oct. 30, $50 tickets for Saturday's Halloween party will be for sale; this fee includes entrance and a hosted bar from 9 p.m. to midnight. Celebrations beging Oct. 27 and lead up to Halloween.
New York City certainly is a place where Halloween revelers can feel comfortable in their freakishly scary costumes, especially at ReUnion Bar’s Halloween Bash. The party features a variety of Halloween mayhem and debauchery including a one-hour vodka open bar, performances by a world-renowned DJ and prizes and giveaways for top costumes.
Not to be outdone, STK is celebrating the ghoulish holiday with its 4th Annual Sexy Meat-hacking Halloween Massacre Bash — the wildest Halloween escapade in the Meatpacking District. In Houston, Texas, Desirous Party (DP) and Spookers Halloween Warehouse is presenting its 4th Annual Pre-Halloween Fashion Show on Oct. 1, at The Ritz Plaza. After models walk the catwalk in outfits from Playboy, Dream Girls, Legs Avenue and more, a private VIP party will be held for DP guests where DJ MainEvent will spin all night in the VIP Lounge.
