Fire, Sex Heat Up Texas Clubs

The American Airlines Center in Dallas joins the likes of the Staples and Amway Centers as it opens Pira, a Latin-themed nightclub, aimed to increase business after sporting events. To party at this chic lounge an event ticket isn’t required. In fact, it’s the only place in the building one can get in to without a voucher.

Pira, a Spanish term for combustible materials, will bring the heat with a fire-themed ambiance and signature cocktails. The new hotspot has a cohesive blend of a swanky Brazilian club and ESPN Zone, hoping to attract a younger, trendier crowd. Eight flat-screen TVs, red sofas, zebra fur chairs, indoor and outdoor bars, DJs and live music will keep the party going from the start of the event until 2 a.m. Restaurant by day and swanky lounge by night — it’s a sports fan or concert-goers best bet for continuing a high-quality entertainment-filled night after an event.
