Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa Launches DRINK PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Atlantic City, NJ (September 18, 2009) - What could be a better excuse to indulge in a martini or glass of wine, than knowing you’re helping a great cause? Throughout the month of October, guests of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa can help support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by choosing specialty cocktails off the property’s DRINK PINK menu, available at Borgata’s six fine dining restaurants, Gypsy Bar, B-Bar and The Sunroom at The Water Club.

The special menu will feature four signature drinks, priced at $10 each, such as the popular Pink Lemonade Martini, the Pink Margarita, the Pink Melon (Prosecco with a splash of watermelon pucker and grenadine), as well as a Fleming-Jenkins Victories Rosé wine by Olympic champion and female winemaker, Peggy Fleming and her husband. A breast cancer survivor, Fleming released Victories Rosé in 2005, to raise funds to support breast cancer research.

A portion of the proceeds for all DRINK PINK sales will benefit Philadelphia-based charity, Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC), through the Borgata Heart & Soul Foundation. The mission of LBBC is to empower all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life.

Participating restaurants include Izakaya, A Modern Japanese Pub; Seablue, A Michael Mina Restaurant; Fornelletto Cucina & Wine Bar; Old Homestead Steakhouse; Bobby Flay Steak; and Wolfgang Puck American Grille, as well as Gypsy Bar, B-Bar and The Sunroom.
