The Richland Distilling Company announced that the first batch Richland Rum will be released and available in select retail stores, bars and restaurants in the State of Georgia on November 30th, 2012. Richland Rum is handcrafted locally in historic down town Richland, Georgia, with all natural ingredients. The Company prides itself in handling all aspects of the production in house; Richland Rum is fermented, distilled, aged in oak barrels for minimally one year and bottled at the company’s artisan distillery.
“Richland Rum brings back an artisan approach to crafting premium quality rum” said Erik Vonk, the distillery’s proprietor. He continued: “From selecting natural ingredients, developing a recipe, fermenting and distilling in batches, to using vintage equipment such as an all copper pot still, every aspect of what we do is focused on quality – not quantity or efficiency”.
Jay McCain, Master Distiller, added: “Batch One has been pampered to maturity in oak barrels for one year at our distillery and we are thrilled to start sharing our unique, locally produced product with anyone who appreciates a truly delicious rum”.
