Cannes, France - Purity Vodka was recently awarded Gold at the Vodka Masters and Travel Retail Masters competition in Cannes, France. The vodka, which is produced at Ellinge Castle in Sweden, won Gold and Master awards in seven out of seven categories. Purity Vodka scored the maximum number of points in the competition’s organic category, 100 out of 100, something that has never happened in the history of the competition.
For the third consecutive year, Purity Vodka entered the prestigious Vodka Masters and Travel Retail Masters competition, which is arranged by the British trade magazine The Spirits Business. This year, Purity Vodka participated in seven categories and won Gold and Master awards in all of them. Purity Vodka won Gold in the categories Micro Distillery and White Spirits, as well as two Golds in Design and packaging. The vodka was given a Master medal in the categories Scandinavia, Smooth and Organic.
Purity Vodka was awarded seven awards in total plus a special mention by the judges as it scored the highest marks ever given in the Organic category. “This is the first time a single product has ever received this number of awards in the Masters history”, says Daisy Jones, Associate Publisher at The Spirits Business.
All entries were blindfold tested by a renowned jury consisting of journalists and vodka experts. The jury is led by Ian Wisniewski, one of the world’s foremost vodka specialists. Winning seven out of seven categories is unique in a competition where over 100 vodka brands contend for the glory – especially for a small company from the Swedish countryside.
“The award for best organic vodka is especially important to us. Purity Vodka received the highest score (100 out of 100 points) that any spirit has ever received in the history of The Spirits Masters, which is a great acknowledgement. We hope that these awards will make an imprint in the spirits industry,” says Thomas Kuuttanen, Master Blender at Purity Vodka. “We spent 10 years developing this incredible ultra premium vodka, and it stands in a class of its own. Purity Vodka is distilled 34 times using a proprietary pot still that I created. The organic barley and winter wheat flavors at its heart produce a sophisticated finish, with a complex, full-bodied taste and character no other vodka comes close to.”
