New York, NY – Following highly successful results and four top honors at the second annual Ultimate Spirits Challenge, Pernod Ricard USA, the premium spirits and wine company in the United States, is proud to announce that eight brands in the company’s premium brands portfolio have been awarded 10 Best in Class ‘Chairman’s Trophy’ honors at the 2011 Ultimate Cocktail Challenge competition – the most of any participating company.
The second annual Ultimate Cocktail Challenge was held in New York City April 5-8 and featured two distinctive and revolutionary competitions – the Classic Cocktail Challenge that assessed how well spirits performed in classic cocktails and the Signature Cocktail Challenge, which evaluated how well entered spirits performed in the proprietary recipes supplied by the brands.
In the Classic Cocktail competition the Chairman’s Trophy, the competitions most prestigious designation, were bestowed upon Pernod Ricard USA’s Beefeater London Dry Gin Extra Dry Martini, Beefeater 24 Gin & Tonic, Plymouth Gin Aviation, ABSOLUT CITRON Cosmopolitan, Olmeca Altos Tequila Margarita and Jameson Gold Irish Coffee. In the Signature Cocktail Competition, Pernod Ricard USA’s Becherovka Czech-up, Pernod Absinthe Green Beast, Beefeater French 75 and Beefeater 24 French 75 were awarded top “Chairman’s Trophy” designations.
