Marley’s on the Beach has the ultimate stage for a perfect performance; prime location in Warwick, RI, beach front patio and a beautiful sunset every night. However, co-owner Michelle has found herself $250,000 in debt and losing $4,000 a month. The animosity towards the husband and wife duo and confusion amongst the kitchen and servers creates a very hostile environment that is harmful to the business.
Taffer steps in after seeing the staff of Marley’s on the Beach struggle with ticket times and co-owner Kevin sit back while his wife fails behind the bar. After the first stress test, Michelle asks Kevin to continue in his role at Marley’s as a silent partner; he reluctantly agrees because it is best for the business and their marriage.
Once Michelle agreed to manage with her head rather than her heart, Taffer helps to transform Marley’s on the Beach into St. Michelle Beach Club. Two separate menus for food and drink have been created by Davis and Collins help to differentiate the day and early evening from the nightlife.
St. Michelle’s Beach Club is a tasteful nautical bar during the day and a trendy nightclub after sunset. The beach patio was amplified with new furniture, a redone tiki bar, grill and fire pits. Six months after the relaunch, food and beverage sales at St. Michelle’s Beach Club have gone up 30% and Kevin continues to be a silent partner, only coming to the bar with Michelle’s consent. The couple’s marriage and business have substantially improved.
