Newcastle Brown Ale launches Newcastle Summer Ale, the brand’s first seasonal offering. Newcastle Summer Ale uses Golden promise and Optic Malts with Fuggles Hops, giving it a large, robust and mellow malty flavor. The beer has a clean, crisp taste with a hint of bitterness, and it pairs well with grilled foods. The summer ale will be sold on-premise with limited edition Newcastle Summer Ale glassware. Newcastle Summer Ale is available in 30 select markets.

Rheingold Beer

Drinks America Holdings, Ltd. introduces Rheingold Beer, New York’s Beer since 1883, to limited markets including metro New York areas, Brooklyn, New Jersey and Connecticut. Rheingold Beer has not been on the market since 2005, and the economy beer is served in the trademark red and white Rheingold can. The brand will sell classic iconic endorsements associated with Rheingold, and marketing will focus on the lower Manhattan and Brooklyn areas.

Ellickson International introduces its Draft Master beer dispensing system, which allows customers to pour their own beer at their table. It’s available in a four-tap fixed system or a two-tap mobile system. Before being seated at a Draft Master table, patrons provide a credit card and set a drink or money limit. Draft Master’s gas-management system provides better consistency to the beer and helps guests enjoy fresher, colder beer.

Dogfish Head Bitches Brew

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery debuts Bitches Brew in honor of the 40th anniversary of the original release of Miles Davis’ album of the same name. The beer is dark and bold and is a fusion of three threads imperial stout and one thread honey beer with gesho root. The ale tastes best when served cool from either a snifter or red wine glass, or paired with chili or spicy curry chicken.
