Meet the SKAM Artist - DJ Sam Pace

When did you join the SKAM Artist roster? What did it feel like to join SKAM?

I joined the Skam Roster about 3 years ago. I was super excited to be a part of a company that is more like a family than anything else.

What genres of music are your specialty?

I play mostly electronic and dance music.

What’s something you’re known for as a DJ?

I'm probably known for my love of pizza…and tacos, depending on the day of the week. :)

Please list some of your favorite recent gigs, and why they were favorites?

It's hard to name a favorite show, but playing shows overseas is always amazing. I love getting to experience different places and cultures.

Besides DJing, what other projects are you currently working on?

When I'm not DJing I usually spend the majority of my time in the studio working on my own music. I also love yoga and working out. Staying fit helps to keep my energy up and balanced, especially when I'm on the road and am sleep deprived from touring (occupational hazard).

When performing, what types of bar and nightlife venues do you prefer?

I always love playing in venues that are GA (general admission) driven. I definitely play off the vibe and energy of the people in the room at every show, and being able to connect with a crowd is my favorite aspect of being a DJ.

What is your adult beverage of choice?

My adult beverage of choice is definitely coffee...the bigger and stronger the better.

What advice would you give someone who wants to get noticed by SKAM Artist?

I would definitely tell anyone wanting to get noticed by SKAM to never give up. The people that push through the hard times, and put 1000% of their effort into their passion are the ones that benefit in the end.

What’s the biggest challenge you face as a DJ?

The biggest challenge I face as a DJ... Finding decent food options when you spend the majority of your time in airports, haha.
