NCB International Whiskey Day Faceoff

Much like rabid sports fans are loyal to their chosen teams, whiskey lovers develop strong ties to—and strong opinions about—their favorite brands and categories. This apt comparison got us thinking: Why should college basketball fans have all the fun during March Madness?

Over the course of four rounds, we're going to find out which whiskey is number one with our readers. Will Jack Daniel's Rye stand out from our field of 16 whiskeys? Is Bulleit Rye going to go all the way to number one? We're going to find out!

Now, you'll notice there are no Scotches whiskies playing for the top slot. This isn't an oversight, it's by design. Later this year we'll be presenting a bracket battle filled out with Scotland's finest drams. For now, we're letting American, Canadian, Irish, Indian, Japanese and Taiwanese whiskeys duke it out.

Let the battle begin!
