Start Working ON Your Business Instead of IN Your Business

What does it take to build a multi-million dollar business, sell it, then repeat the process five more times? Is business success replicable? What are the pitfalls you should avoid and the opportunities you must seek?

 

As a serial entrepreneur, investor, and personal development enthusiast for the last 17 years I have been obsessed with why 95% of entrepreneurs fail and only 5% succeed. Indeed, I’ve exhausted countless hours identifying the key traits of successful entrepreneurs, and I’ve been on a mission to make investments and start up new businesses with the goal of entrepreneurial success.

In my keynote on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, I intend to open up the kimono, disclosing “6 Tips to Grow Your Business, Maximize Profits, and Find Your Passion.”

For me, business successf starts with happiness, fulfillment, and passion. Here are a few of the items I intend to cover in my keynote.

Find Your Why

I’ve attended 17 Tony Robbins conferences, which is a testament to my commitment to happiness and personal growth. Happiness is a prerequisite to success. What I’ve also learned is that often in life you need to rewrite your core story in order to achieve your dreams. We often get caught up in weak core stories. As business owners we get caught up working in our business instead of on our business. Not surprisingly, most entrepreneurs fail when they get too caught up in the day to day and lose the big picture. We need to write a new story that includes why we will achieve whatever business and financial goals we desire.

Fall in Love with Numbers

Too many entrepreneurs are afraid of “the numbers.” That’s why I recommend that you find a way to fall in love with the numbers. Successful entrepreneurs are able to not only look at financial reports and see numbers, but look at the numbers and make predictions about the future health, viability, and growth prospects for the business based on things like cash flow and profit / loss. Numbers tend to be boring “avoid at all costs” to failing entrepreneurs, but exciting to successful entrepreneurs like myself. I totally geek out over balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements, and you should too.

Learn How to Become a Growth Marketer

The Internet and mobile have dramatically changed the way nightclubs and bars attract new customers and get existing customers to keep coming back. If you get web and mobile right you’ll leapfrog the competition and likely be in a position of growth and prosperity. If you get it wrong your demise is almost certain. I intend to share some tips on a range of growth marketing strategies that you need to understand and prioritize, from successful SEO to why you need to implement a combined paid search plus paid social plus re-targeting campaign first thing when you get to your office after the Nightclub & Bar Show.
