Heineken Black Light Bottle
Heineken launched its STR Bottle, an aluminum bottle that, when viewed under a black light, reveals a hidden pattern of stars and trails. The 16-ounce bottle has a modern European design along with its interactive black light properties. The bottle is available at upscale establishments in select markets. www.HeinekenUSA.com.
Narragansett Fest Oktoberfest
Narragansett’s Oktoberfest beer, Narragansett Fest, is available in 16-ounce cans only. The Narragansett Fest beer is an amber brown German Oktoberfest with four varieties of malts — Pilsner, Vienna and light and dark Munich malts — as well as Northern Brewer and Tettnangers hops to give it a crisp and balanced flavor. Narrangensett Fest is 5.5 percent alcohol by volume and has 22 IBUs. It is available this fall at on-premise locations in New England. www.narragansettbeer.com/home.
Samuel Adams Fall Beers
Samuel Adams OctoberFest and Samuel Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale are both available through the end of the month. The OctoberFest has a rich, golden-amber color and is made with a blend of five malts: Harrington, Metcalfe, Caramel, Munich and Moravian. The malts’ sweetness is balanced by the bitterness of Noble Bavarian hops. The Pumpkin Ale is brewed with more than 11 lbs. of pumpkin per barrel, adding a full body and sweetness to this dark reddish amber brew. The beer features a roasty character with a subtle spice note. www.samueladams.com.
