July 19, 2010

NEW YORK, NY (July 19, 2010) - TY KU Premier Asian Wine & Spirits proudly announces that its Ultra Premium Junmai Daiginjo sake, TY KU White, has become the most highly decorated sake in the world. This distinction is marked by TY KU White’s unprecedented receipt of both the Double Gold Medal at the prestigious San Francisco Wine Competition as well as the highly coveted and very rare Six Star Diamond Award from The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS). Both of these awards represent the absolute pinnacle of excellence in luxury, quality and craftsmanship and are judged by experts in the fields of wine, spirits and hospitality.

Trenton Ulicny, Co-Founder of TY KU states, “These recent accolades are monumental honors not only for TY KU, but for the sake category as a whole.” TY KU White is only the second sake to ever win Double Gold at the San Francisco Wine Competition and is the first beverage to ever win the Six Star Diamond Award—joining the esteemed ranks of the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong, Jean Georges, and The Mar-a-Lago Club.

The Crown Jewel of Sake, TY KU White represents the very best of Ultra Premium Japanese Sake. A rare and specially designation Junmai Daiginjo classification which less than 5 percent of the sakes in the world achieve, TY KU White is painstakingly handcrafted in small limited batches utilizing select Yamada Nishiki rice grains (the finest in the world) milled over 50 percent, soft water sourced from the Oirase River in Northern Japan, and a slow drip filtration process. Created in collaboration with a renowned Japanese sakery dating back to the Edo period, TY KU White is brewed with 100 percent all-natural premium ingredients. The result is a wonderfully light, yet complex flavor profile with fruit and spice notes that entice and engage the palate and senses. Each individually numbered bottle of Ultra Premium TY KU White is showcased within a locally sourced and renewable bamboo box, complete with laser-etched Japanese-styled foliage.

In addition to the Double Gold Medal and Six Star Diamond Award, TY KU White has won Gold at the SIP Awards, been rated “Outstanding” by Anthony Dias Blue at Tasting Panel magazine, and is the recipient of the Rising Star Award by Beverage Information Group along with the entire TY KU portfolio.

TY KU has also been bestowed as the only beverage company to receive the Green Six Star Diamond Award from the AAHS for its corporate commitment to sustainability aNEW YORK, NY (July 19, 2010) - TY KU Premier Asian Wine & Spirits proudly announces that its Ultra Premium Junmai Daiginjo sake, TY KU White, has become the most highly decorated sake in the world.
