Gin is a spirit that welcomes refreshing flavors with certain nuances that has other spirits struggling to keep up. With summer upon us, help quench your guests’ thirst with a new favorite way to drink gin - instead of the old gin-and-tonic. Here are just a few concoctions to get you thinking outside the box.
Earl Grey Southside Cocktail
2 oz. Hendrick's Gin
Shake with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and garnis with cucumber and a sprig of mint.
1.25 oz. Tanqueray Ten
Shake and strain into a rocks glass and top with champagne.
South Carolina Swizzle Cocktail
1 1/2 parts Hendrick's Gin
Shake ingredients with ice. Strain over crushed ice into hurricane or tall glass. Garnish with a mint sprig
Cin Gin Fizz
1 oz. Cynar
Shake all ingredients (except bitters) without ice for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg. Add ice, shake for another 10 seconds. Double strain into a rocks glass over one large ice cube. Garnish with drops of bitters on top of the egg white foam.
1.5 oz. Tanqueray London Dry
Shake and strain into crush ice filled tumbler. Garnish with mint sprig and short straws.
1.25 oz. Gin
Stir with ice and strain into chilled coupe or over ice in a chilled rocks glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
1oz. Greenhook Beach Plum Gin
Add Beach Plum Gin, gin, Dolin Blanc, Bonal, and bitters to mixing glass. Add ice. Stir. Strain into coup or cocktail glass. Garnish with burnt orange peel.
SAPPHIRE East Snapper
1 ½ parts Bombay Sapphire East Gin
Build with ice in a highball. Garnish with lemongrass.
