Happy Vodka Day!

September 28, 2011 By: Alissa Ponchione

Although it seems like every day is — or should be — vodka day, National Vodka Day actually is celebrated on Oct. 4 and is the perfect time to pay homage to vodka’s loyal fan base. The clear spirit comes in various iterations (potato vodka, flavored vodka, infused vodka, etc.) and can be enjoyed mixed with anything from muddled fruits to sweet liqueurs and purees to just adding a splash of vermouth and an olive. In fact, celebrating vodka day will benefit you in the long run. After all, a bar that doesn’t appreciate the subtle nuances of vodka is missing out on more than just profits but experimental drink making, as well.
