Chia Chai Spritz

An inviting and lively spritzer that introduces the bitter yet nimble grapefruit notes of this aperitif to the aromatic combination of blackberries and blood orange. Chia seeds bring an unexpected weight and texture to the mix, it doesn’t sink the flighty and floral pop of Prosecco.

  • 1 oz chia seeds
  • (infuse with 2 parts water and 1 part chai)
  • ¾ oz DaVinci Gourmet®
  • (Fruit Innovations Blackberry Blood Orange)
  • 1 oz Aperol®
  • 2 oz Prosecco


Start by stirring 1 oz chia seeds into 2 oz of water and 1 oz chai, allowing an hour to coalesce. Once set, shake blackberry blood orange syrup and Aperol® for 60 seconds in stainless steel shaker. Pour over an ice-filled Collins glass until three quarters full. Gently stir in chia mixture with mixing spoon until evenly incorporated. Finish with Prosecco and garnish with orange twist.
