2014 recipe file: red, white and you better serve patriotic cocktails
Independence Day represents freedom and while your customers are obviously free to order whatever they’d like at your bar, a little persuasion never hurt anyone. Here we have provided you with a list of cocktails that will make it impossible for your guests to pass up on this patriotic holiday.
Happy 4th of July!
1 1/2 oz. SVEDKA Vodka
Build in the glass. Add watermelon schnapps and cranberry juice over ice, then carefully add lemon, simple syrup, and SVEDKA as to layer the white layer, then VERY carefully layer the blue curacao to create the color separation, and gently top with soda. Garnish with fresh watermelon pieces.
American Flag Shot
3/4 oz. Blue Curacao
In a shot glass layer Blue Curacao, then Malibu and then Campari on the top for a very Patriotic-looking shooter or sipper.
1 1/2 oz. Real McCoy Rum
Muddle Berries in shaker, add Real McCoy, Lime Juice and Agave and shake with ice. Strain into ice filled glass and top with Ginger Beer and a few whole berries.
Life and Liberty
1 oz. UV Blue
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass.
American Honey Slushy
1 oz. Wild Turkey American Honey
Combine all ingredients in a blender or margarita machine and blend until smooth.
Berries & Basil Summer Punch
1 1/2 oz. Smirnoff No.21 Limited ‘American Summer’ Edition
Stir together ingredients in large pitcher. Add crushed ice to serve. Serves 10
3 oz. Russian Standard Vodka
Muddle cherry tomatoes and basil with a dash each of salt and pepper. Add lime agave and Russian Standard Vodka. Shake vigorously with ice cubes and double strain into a coupe glass rubbed with lime and rimmed with equal parts salt and black pepper. Garnish with a basil leaf.
3 oz. TY KU Citrus Liqueur
Muddle in Fresh Strawberries. Top with Prosecco
Blue Bikini Martini
1 1/2 oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with orange zest.

3 oz. Cabana Cachaça
In a shaker, muddle lime quarters. Add all ingredients and shake with ice. Pour into a rocks glass and microplane a roasted coffee bean over the top for garnish.
