CHICAGO – December 2010 – The Corona brand family will offer a unique stand-alone promotion that encourages consumers to “Flip Winter to the Corona Side.” This first-time promotion will be executed in targeted on-premise accounts during the holidays, the number one selling period for the on-premise*.
The “Flip Winter” promotion will run from mid-November thru the end of February, allowing accounts to leverage strong selling opportunities during Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve. Activation materials include graphic templates, pennant strings, buckets, inflatable limes, beach balls, Corona patio lights, on-premise kits, and lime spinner coasters—an activity wheel that consumers can use to interact with their friends and Corona during the winter season.
The essence of the “Flip Winter” promotion is to keep the Corona ‘state of mind’ going through the winter months. Local activation ideas include the Arctic BBQ Fiesta and the Shed Your Sweater Fiesta. Corona encourages retailers to capitalize on this opportunity to drive more Corona brand family on-premise sell through during the holiday/winter period.
