Donna Hood CreccaWant more traffic and sales in 2012? To make sure your bar or club gets more than its fair share, keep this issue handy all year long. Our 2012 Promotion Planning Guide (page 24) presents a year’s worth of events, anniversaries, holidays, sports playoffs and championships, as well as unusual celebrations around which you can execute business-building promotions.

We’re putting the guide out in September so you can start planning promotions now to succeed in 2012. Don’t wait until New Year’s Eve to think about ways to ward off the January lull, get patrons in the mood for love in February or to see more green in March. That’s too late. You need at least four to six weeks to pull off a great promo, so plan the work, then work the plan and you’ll be in the black next year.
