Premium extra aged rum, Ratu [pronounced "Rah-tu"], and premium rum, Bati ["Bah-ti"] from Rum. Co of Fiji are built on an ethos of authenticity and craftsmanship and draw their inspiration and identity from their strong Fijian heritage.
Distilled in Fiji by globally-awarded Master Distiller, Liam Costello, the Ratu range includes an award-winning five-year-old Spiced rum (silver medal, 2016 London Rum Masters), an equally acclaimed five-year-old Dark rum (gold medal winner, 2016 London Rum Masters), and an eight-year-old Signature Liqueur. These premium, extra aged rums carry more aromas and a fuller body and stand up extremely well in cocktails or served neat over ice.
The premium Bati brand is available in Dark (gold medal winner, dark rum - premium category, Rum Masters 2017), Spiced (silver medal winner, spiced rum category, Rum Masters 2017), and White, and can be consumed to suit individual preference, whether it be straight, with a mixer or in a cocktail.
Using hand-cut sugar cane grown in Fiji’s rich volcanic soil, both rums are distilled using a combination of column and pot distillation methods. They are then aged for up to eight years before being filtered through coconut shell carbon to create the unique taste of paradise. Finally, every bottle is patiently hand labelled by the distillery’s small and dedicated local workforce.
