Rediscover the Daiquiri with Bacardi Classic Cocktails Hand Shaken DaiquiriJuly 6, 2011
Coral Gables, Fla. – Bacardi, the world’s favorite and best-selling premium rum, introduces a new addition to its ready-to-serve portfolio, the Bacardi Classic Cocktails Hand Shaken Daiquiri. This pre-mixed cocktail minimizes preparation without sacrificing taste, simply “open and pour” to enjoy the ultimate daiquiri.
Bacardi Classic Cocktails Hand Shaken Daiquiri is a contemporary rendition of Bacardi’s original Hand Shaken Daiquiri, a timeless classic in the world of cocktails. To create the perfect balance of flavors, this signature drink is prepared with Bacardi's Superior Rum, tangy lime juice and sugar. The result is a perfectly balanced spirit that offers a consistent and reliable taste with each pour - garnish with a lime wedge for a cool cocktail that everyone will love.
To celebrate the launch of Bacardi Classic Cocktails Hand Shaken Daiquiri, the brand has joined with actress, model and entrepreneur, Brooke Burke, to bring consumers fun and festive tips to make at home entertaining easy. The “Dancing with the Stars” co-host will share recommendations for hosting a great party and fashion advice, such as:
Make an Impression – Pick a theme when hosting a summer-inspired bash by adding a few outdoor touches and ocean accents like seashells, lanterns or string lights. For a chic look, serve daiquiris in pretty tinted glasses. Use an ice-cube tray featuring different shapes for an extra-fun flair or add mini-umbrellas for a playful accent.
Sit and Sip – Get the party started by serving guests a signature drink. Set-up at a stylish service station with ice buckets; tie a single large ribbon or floral lei around it, add ice and Bacardi Classic Cocktails Hand Shaken Daiquiri; pour and serve!
Serve Something Delicious - What’s a party without great food? A pot-luck is a great way to share the preparation. Have your guests bring a variety of finger foods like chicken kebabs, pasta salad and fresh fruit. This way, they can nibble at their leisure instead of waiting in line for the grill!
“The summer is my favorite time to entertain and Bacardi makes cocktail time easy with the new, ready-to-serve, Bacardi Classic Cocktails Hand Shaken Daiquiri,” said actress, Brooke Burke. “This sweet drink is a quick and convenient way to enjoy a classic cocktail. The Bacardi Hand Shaken Daiquiri cocktail was reportedly invented by a mining engineer in the small town of Daiquiri, Cuba in 1898. After experimenting with local ingredients he combined fresh squeezed lime juice, sugar, crushed ice and Bacardi Superior to create what he named the Daiquiri.
The launch will be supported nationally with consumer and trade print advertising, digital, POS, sampling events and public relations. For more information, please visit www.bacardi.com or www.facebook.com/bacardi.
