Duckhorn Wine Company announced Dale Bishop as its new director of national accounts. Bishop will manage corporate account sales for all of Duckhorn’s brands including Duckhorn Vineyards, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration and Decoy. Bishop has two decades of national account experience, most recently as the director of on-premise sales for Red Bull North America.
The Charmer Sunbelt Group announced key executive appointments, naming Greg Baird chief operating officer, promoted from his current position of executive vice president of sales and marketing. The company also promoted Bob Catalani, currently president/CEO, beverage distribution in Colorado, to vice president, sales at CSG. Other promotions include: Joe Marotta to president, beverage distributors in Colorado, and Tim Sullivan as general manager, alliance division at Premier Beverage Company in Florida.
Red Bull North America named Stefan Kozak its new CEO. Currently the head of Red Bull’s operations in Latin America and Canada, Kozak will take over for Selim Chidiac, who left in January. Kozak previously worked in Brazil at Latin America’s Coca-Cola anchor bottler Panamerican Beverages Inc. He has been with Red Bull for six years and will continue to oversee operations in the other two regions.
The Fashion Mall at Keystone in Indianapolis will be the site of the city’s first Season 52 restaurant, opening in the spring of 2011. This opening will increase the number of Season 52 restaurants to 16. The Indiana restaurant will include 116 seats in the main dining area and 91 in the piano bar, which features live music. There will be two private dining rooms with 76 seats, as well as a chef’s table that seats 12.
Fine wine and spirits importer Aveniu Brands promoted Andrew Mansinne to the position of president. He will oversee Aveniu Brands’ portfolio of wines and spirits as well as its sales, marketing, operations, finance and administrative functions. An industry veteran of 25 years, Mansinne previously worked as vice president of marketing at Foster’s Wine Estates and as senior vice president, managing director at Brown Forman Corporation.
Chris Underwood, CEO of Young’s Market Company, is now interim president of the company’s California operations and will take full responsibility for sales. John Klein, the company’s president, will assume the role of chief operating officer and will report to Underwood. Klein will focus on supplier relations and corporate and strategic planning, as well as serve on the board of managers in the Pacific Northwest.
