New Cognac, Organic Champagne and Patio Heaters
Hennessy Black, a Cognac introduced in select cities in 2009, is now available nationwide. Hennessy Black is marketed to young, hip consumers with the aim of being the main ingredient in many mixed drinks. It’s a versatile blend of 35 to 45 pale- and gold-colored eaux-de-vie, aged in French oak barrels for at least five years. The Cognac is lighter, with jasmine, daffodil and orange flower scents as well as hints of citrus, honey and grape, which give it a smooth balance and finish. www.HennessyBlack.com.
2008 Korbel Brut Champagne
Korbel introduces a new package for its sustainable 2008 Korbel Brut Champagne. The Champagne is made with organically grown grapes. Its lemon, peach and apple aromas and flavors accent its subtle yeast complexity, which complements its light, crisp finish. Korbel Champagne Cellars received an organic processor certification from the California Certified Organic Farmers; the grapes are grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. The new package includes a vintage date, new neckband and includes a grape tendril motif on the label. www.korbel.com.
