Oak Beverages, Inc. a New York-Metropolitan area wholesale beer and beverage distributor and part of the Boening family group, announced that it is ushering in the upcoming fall season with autumnal seasonal brews from Long Trail Brewing Company (Bridgewater Corners, VT). Included among these beers are: Long Trail Pumpkin Ale, Imperial Pumpkin and Harvest – all ideal for fall activities including Octoberfest celebrations.
Long Trail Pumpkin Ale is a slightly sweet seasonal beer creatively brewed with pumpkins and spices. It is available in six packs of 12-ounce bottles. It is ideal for taking along on fall hikes and tailgate parties or serving with roasted chicken, lamb, turkey and stews. Pumpkin Ale is brewed with malts of 2-Row, Wheat, Caramel 80L and Carmunich Malt; hops of Nugget, Mt. Hood and Willamette; and all natural ingredients of pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves. It has a 5.5% ABV.
Imperial Pumpkin is an English Strong Ale featuring malts of 2-Row, Wheat, Caramel 80L and Carmunich Malt; hops of Nugget, Mt. Hood and Willamette; and all natural pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves with increased malts and a touch of bitterness for balance. It has an 8% ABV is being sold in 22 ounce bottles, five-gallon “logs” and 50L (13.2 gallon) kegs. It pairs nicely with poultry, lighter seafood dishes and Marscapone or herb cheese spreads.
Harvest is a Brown Ale featuring malts of 2-Row, Wheat and Amber and hops of Nugget and Mt. Hood. It has an ABV of 3.6% and is a good beer to pair with pork dishes or even a beef vegetable soup.
