TouchTunes Promotes The Beatles’ 'Yellow Submarine' Songtrack Album

June 5, 2012 By: Nightclub & Bar

TouchTunes Interactive Networks, the largest interactive in-venue entertainment network in North America, will run a promotion this month for The Beatles’ "Yellow Submarine" songtrack album, timed to the reissue of the album on CD and its digital debut on iTunes, as well as the restored 1968 film’s release on DVD, Blu-ray and iTunes. This will mark TouchTunes’ second promotion of The Beatles’ music since the iconic band’s recorded catalog first debuted across its network in April. The Yellow Submarine songtrack features 15 Beatles classics heard in the film, including “All You Need Is Love,” “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,” “Eleanor Rigby” and “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”

Additionally, TouchTunes will give one lucky Beatles fan the chance to win an Ultimate Beatles Prize Pack, including a personalized Beatles Plaque, a Beatles Stereo Box Set and the Yellow Submarine Blu-Ray, DVD and CD songtrack. Entry to the sweepstakes will be available on participating TouchTunes digital jukeboxes nationwide and online at www.touchtunes.com/beatles.

In April, TouchTunes added The Beatles’ 13 legendary studio albums, as well as The Beatles’ two-volume "Past Masters" compilation, the classic "Red" and "Blue" collections, the "1” hits collection and the "LOVE" album to its catalog.

Previously out of print, The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine film has been restored in 4K digital resolution for the first time. Because of the delicate nature of the hand-drawn original artwork, no automated software was used in the digital cleanup of the film’s restored photochemical elements. This was all done by hand, frame by frame. More information about the restored film is available on The Beatles’ official site, www.thebeatles.com.
