Torani’s Annual Art for Kids Limited-Edition Syrups UnveiledSeptember 19, 2012 By: Nightclub & Bar
For the eighth consecutive year, Torani invites customers to celebrate and support its Art for Kids program by purchasing its two limited-edition artist series bottles to benefit afterschool arts programs for children in the U.S. Launched in 2005, the program combining creativity and customer support has allowed Torani and its fans to raise more than $500,000 for the Afterschool Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting affordable, quality afterschool programs for children nationwide.
Each year Torani invites kids to enter their original artwork in a national contest that draws thousands of entries from which Torani selects, in a ‘blind’ review, the artwork to adorn commemorative labels. Torani donates five percent of all limited-edition Art for Kids Raspberry and Sugar Free French Vanilla flavor syrup sales, September 1 through December 31, 2012, to the Afterschool Alliance. The beautiful artist series bottles can be purchased online at www.torani.com , in store at Walmart, Cost Plus World Markets and other retailers, and spotted on shelves in cafes and restaurants nationwide.
This year’s winners are 14-year-old Benny, from San Francisco’s Excel Program at Aptos Middle School and Elora, 16, from Bristol, New Hampshire’s Project Promise Newfound School District.

“With the support of our customers, we’re delighted to make a substantial contribution to children’s educational and creative development through afterschool programs,” explains Lisa Lucheta, Torani Principal. “Partnering with Afterschool Alliance allows us to connect with kids across the country in a positive way, inspiring creativity in their community. We’re thrilled that Torani’s Art for Kids excites and inspires such wonderful expression.”
The winning artists each receive an awards plaque featuring their artwork and labels, and a case of commemorative bottled syrup. In addition, Torani honors the children with a celebratory party held at their afterschool program complete with Torani Italian sodas and pizza. The company also donates art supplies to the winners’ afterschool programs.
