A whiskey bar is heading into Fort Collins.

Software company director Ryan Wallace and his wife are working to open William Oliver’s Publick House in the shopping plaza off Timberline and Drake roads. The bar will initially offer 150 types of Scotch whisky and whiskey — the one with the “e” is generally the non-Scottish kind — along with beers brewed exclusively in Fort Collins and Loveland.

“I have a passion around whiskey, and I want to create an opportunity to share that with everyone,” Wallace said. “We’re really hoping to be whiskey advocates, not just with the big international guys, but we also hope to get every single Colorado whiskey on our shelves.”
