WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. –  Heineken USA today announced the appointment of Scott Blazek as the company’s new senior vice president, sales. He will join the company’s management team and report to president and chief executive officer, Dolf van den Brink.

“Scott’s significant contributions to the sales force and widespread respect among the organization made him the perfect candidate for this position. He brings the right skill set and leadership experience to drive business results for Heineken USA,” said van den Brink. “We are confident in the course we have set. Now consistent and accelerated execution against our long-term strategies and plans is critical to our success. “Scott is a strong, focused leader and he will bring great energy and expertise to the top sales position at Heineken USA,” stated Greg Brown, general manager at Admiral Beverage and chairman of the Heineken USA Distributor Council. “His leadership in the Central Region, especially in integrating the Mexican brands into the Heineken USA portfolio, is exactly what the sales team needs at this time. I’m delighted to continue working with him on the Heineken USA Distributor Council.”

In his role as senior vice president, sales, and as a member of the company’s senior management team, Blazek is responsible for increasing and maximizing profitable depletions and market share and achieving distribution goals for Heineken USA’s product portfolio through the management of its more than 300-member sales force and its distributor network.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to take on this challenge and apply my leadership skills and insights that helped the Central Region team achieve such great success to the broader organization,” said Blazek. “It is an honor to join the Heineken USA management team, and I’m confident that together we will continue to drive performance and move swiftly towards our goal of becoming the leading upscale beer company in the U.S.”

Beyond his work at Heineken USA, Blazek brings a depth of beverage industry experience to his new role. Prior to joining Heineken, Blazek spent ten years at Diageo, where he held positions of increasing responsibility, including director of national trade marketing, on-premise, U.S. spirits.
