In a much-talked-about case, a Nevada state judge rejected a request to remove N9NE Group executive Michael Morton as manager of the Las Vegas-based company. The request, made by N9NE Group investors and the Palms Casino Resort, stems from the lawsuit that says Morton has been using their joint-venture properties at the Palms to create his new venture, La Cave at the Wynn Las Vegas. Also at issue in the dispute are charges that management at the Palms ordered the firing of N9NE Group/N-M Ventures executive Andy Belmonti because he had been working on La Cave with Morton, which would breach the operating agreement.
