CHICAGO - Corona Extra, the number one imported beer in the United States, is excited to announce it will be the presenting sponsor for Wisin y Yandel’s “El Regreso de los Vaqueros” 2011 U.S. Tour.
The 2011 tour kicks off on June 3 in Miami and consists of nine shows in eight markets, including Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, Texas, Dallas, San Antonio, Texas, and Newark, N.J.
Wisin y Yandel, born Juan Luis Morera and Llandel Veguilla, respectively, are from Puerto Rico and credit their musical influences to Reggaeton, while creating music and lyrics with a unique spin of their own. The duo have sold more than five million albums, have four number one albums on the Billboard Latin Albums Chart, are the 2011 Premio Lo Nuestro winners for Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Entertainers of the Year, have won AMA and Latin Grammy Awards and hold the record for the most number one hits on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Chart by a group or duo.
“Wisin y Yandel have a broad appeal across U.S. Hispanic and Latin American audiences, which makes Corona the perfect brand to sponsor their U.S. tour,” said Fred Graefenhain, vice president of sponsorships for Crown Imports, Corona’s exclusive U.S. importer. “We are thrilled to partner with this talented and popular group, whose fans are also fans of Corona.”
