With football season drawing to a close, one venue’s staff can definitely say it scored big this season in terms of additional profits. The management team at Shula’s No Name Lounge in Miami partnered with TAI Entertainment, in order to make the “Monday Night Live” 2010 football season promotion one of the biggest in the region. Not only did it bring in extra patrons but also TAI Entertainment booked some major athletes to show up for the event as well. The appearance of these big name athletes coupled with the bar’s year-round football décor made it a stellar place to watch games.
“For the first three weeks, Anthony Fasano, tight end for the Miami Dolphins, hosted the event. Since then, player attendees have included QB Chad Henne, tackle Jake Long, kicker Dan Carpenter and wide receiver Brian Hartline,” explains Marketing Manager Heather Williams.
Every Monday, flat screen TVs were set up throughout the main dining area, along with a VIP lounge complete with stylish sofas, colorful LED up lights and a DJ performance by Kid Nemeis. Game time cuisine included a $35 three-course prix fixe menu with dessert, while other deals included $99 bottle specials, $3 beers, $6 specialty drinks and $5 bar bites. Approximately 100 people attended the first Monday Night game, and by mid season the average attendance was 250. In fact, the promotion is proving so successful, the group plans to keep running it after the Super Bowl.
