TouchTunes Interactive Networks, Sony Music Entertainment & Record Store Day Announce Jukebox Tribute to Local Record Stores

NEW YORK—TouchTunes Interactive Networks, the largest interactive out-of-home entertainment network in North America, has partnered with Sony Music Entertainment and Record Store Day to celebrate independently owned record stores across the country on Record Store Day, April 16, 2011. As part of the promotion, TouchTunes will feature a Record Store Day playlist across its digital jukebox network highlighting exclusive content from select Sony Music artists participating in Record Store Day. Consumers will also be able to enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a Record Store Day Prize Pack that includes exclusive CDs, LPs and a Sony USB turntable. Entry to the sweepstakes will be available on TouchTunes digital jukeboxes and online at www.facebook.com/touchtunes.

Fans can listen to the Record Store Day Playlist with exclusive tracks from Bob Dylan, Foo Fighters, Ray LaMontagne and Bruce Springsteen. Record Store Day 2011 Ambassador Ozzy Osbourne will also be featured. Some of the songs available on the Record Store Day Playlist include:

Record Store Day was founded in 2007 as an effort to bring nationwide attention to independently owned record stores. The day is marked by special vinyl and CD releases made exclusively by artists for Record Store Day, as well as in-store music events such as meet & greets, performances and parades. Today, more than 700 record stores in the United States participate in the day, taking advantage of the opportunity to connect with consumers and performers and celebrate the culture of the record store. Record Store Day is celebrated annually on the third Saturday in April.
