Nightclub & Bar Magazine Sponsors Launch of San Diego Spirits FestivalMay 6, 2009
San Diego, CA (May 5, 2009) LetsPlayDowntown will produce the San Diego Spirits Festival launching the inaugural event on June 5th with a weekend jam-packed with spirit tasting's, networking parties and exclusive industry-only events. The three-day destination event will be hosted at the Se San Diego. LetsPlayDowntown has partnered up with the industry leader, Nightclub & Bar Magazine, as its national media sponsor for the San Diego Spirits Festival.
Throughout the weekend, both beverage professionals and consumers will get the opportunity to taste the hottest and newest brands, while learning cocktail culture from some of the most acclaimed master mixologists in the business. Companies taking part in the weekends festivities include Beam Spirits' Cruzan Rum, Infinium Spirits, Proximo Spirits' Three Olives Vodka, Preiss Imports, Maestro Dobel & Gran Centenario; just to name a few.
The party starts Friday night at the "Pucker-Up" VIP Party on Fri. June 5 (VIP 7-9 pm, General Public from 9 p.m. – midnight), which will feature hosted cocktails, special guest DJs and a live lingerie fashion show. Saturday, learn about the art of the pour, and quench your thirst as you sip on the hottest cocktails prepared by master mixologists at the GRAND TASTING on Saturday June 6th (Trade and VIP 11AM- 1PM, general public 1PM- 5PM. Afterwards, enjoy the warm summer night with the ‘On the Rocks' Party (VIP 7-9P, General Public 9PM-Close. Sunday will feature trade seminars from top mixologists and brand ambassadors before the "Shake-Shake-Shake" Beach Party on Sunday June 7th (2-5PM) which will culminate the weekend at Sīrĕn, Pool Deck and UberLounge with bikini fashion shows.

The weekend will also be giving back to the community with a silent auction at the Grand Tasting where all proceeds will go to the Sky Ranch Foundation, which has helped troubled youth since 1960.
