A Look at San Francisco Cocktail Week's ScheduleSeptember 21, 2010 By: Jack Robertiello
If you’re anywhere near San Francisco this week, then make sure to get to at least one of the events during San Francisco Cocktail Week 2010. Today (Tuesday, Sept. 21), the party starts at the Inauguration of the (“Cocktail Bill”) Boothby Center, a beverage lab, conference room and event space. There will be tours of the just-finished space and cocktails created by co-founders of the Barbary Coast Conservancy of the American Cocktail (BCCAC): H. Joseph Ehrmann (Elixir), Jeff Hollinger (Comstock Saloon) and Duggan McDonnell (Cantina).
Then there’s the "That Time of the Month" After Party, featuring four of San Francisco's best female bartenders are behind the stick for the night: Brooke Arthur (Prospect), Jill Webster (Laszlo/Rye), Amanda Washington (Rye) and special guest Anu Apte from Seattle (Rob Roy) at Laszlo Bar.
The rest of the week there’s “Strange Bed-Fellows: an Exploration in Ham, Oysters and Malt,” “Farmer's Market Happy Hour,” “Ragtag Rabble Gaming Soirée” and more, including the Cocktail Carnival Gala co-presented by The Bon Vivants, held at the historic Old Mint.
