Running Wild With Produce

No one regrets eating healthy, so why not try some cocktails with fruits and veggies?

Today, many bars, nightclubs and restaurants are letting their imagination run wild with produce. Therefore, we have put together a list of delicious cocktails with some healthy ingredients.

Corn Goddess

Corn Goddess

1 ½ oz Campari
1 oz Gin
2 tsp Fresh Corn Kernels
4 Cherry Tomato Halves

In a mixing glass, muddle corn, tomato halves and gin, add Campari. Shake well with ice and double strain into chilled cocktail glass. Float a sage leaf on top as garnish.

1 ¼ oz Cynar
1 oz Flor de Cana 4 Year Old White Rum
¼ oz Green Chartreuse
1/8 oz Demerara Syrup
1/8 oz Lime Juice
1 Dash Angostura Bitters
2 Sprigs Mint

Combine liquids in mixing glass, add mint and gently muddle. Let sit 1 min. Stir and strain into rocks glass over large ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.


Sapphire Red Snapper

1½ parts Bombay Sapphire Gin=
4 oz quality bloody mix or homemade
Lemon juice to taste
Worcestershire sauce to taste
FILTHY Pepper Stuffed Olive
Season with salt and pepper

Build with ice and stir until chilled. Garnish with celery stalk or olives. Try making a pitcher when entertaining friends. For a crisp, spicy twist, try substituting Bombay Sapphire East Gin

Bombay Sapphire East gin
Lavender honey
lemon and peach bitters

Shaken and strained into a double whiskey glass over crushed ice, garnished with a sprig of lavender.

1.5 oz tequila
.5 oz aged Jamaican rum
.25 oz Aperol
.25 lemon
2 tbs tomato jam
2 dashes chipotle bitters

Shake, double strain in chilled cocktail glass.


Garden Variety Garden Variety

1½ oz SKYY Infusions Blood Orange
3 Basil Leaves, muddled
1½ oz Carrot Juice
1½ oz Fresh Sour Mix
Top w/ Dash Angostura Bitters
Optional – ¼ oz Domaine de Canton Ginger
1 basil leaf for garnish

Muddle basil in shaker. Combine rest of ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into glass. Top with a dash of Angostura bitters, garnish and serve.


Cali Swizzle Cali Swizzle

1 1/2oz Caliche Rum
1 1/2 oz Pineapple juice
1 oz Orange juice
1/2 oz Lime juice
1/2 oz Velvet Falernum
Lime Wedge

In a cocktail shaker combine all ingredients, fill with ice and shake. Strain over ice in a highball glass. Garnish with fresh lime wedge.

"Hers" Green Apple Martini

1/2 oz simple syrup   
1 1/2 oz The Perfect Purée Green Apple, thawed
1 1/2 tsp The Perfect Purée Key Lime Concentrate,  thawed 
1 oz Grey Goose Vodka

Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and pour into a martini glass.


Strwaberry-Basil Rickey

2 oz Cointreau 
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
3-4 oz Club Soda
1 Strawberry, hulled and quartered
2-3 Basil Leaves

Muddle the strawberry and basil in the bottom of a highball glass. Add remaining ingredients with ice. Stir briefly. Garnish with a basil leaf.


Cali Ginger Lime Cali Ginger-Lime
Created by Caliche Rum

2 oz Caliche Rum
2 dash of Angostura bitters
1/2 oz Lime juice
1/2 oz Ginger syrup
3 oz ginger beer (Barrits is recommended)
   
In a cocktail shaker combine all ingredients, except for the ginger beer, fill with ice and shake. Strain over ice in a highball or collins glass, add the ginger beer and garnish with lime wheels and wedges.
