Warm Up on National Hot Mulled Cider Day

Hot CiderTo get into the fall spirit, apple cider is an all-time favorite go-to and as the weather cools off, hot mulled cider is a must. Especially today, September 30th, since its National Hot Mulled Cider Day!

To make mulled cider, you have to start with plain apple cider; which is produced using a cider press. Slowly adding brown sugar to the apple cider over medium heat and then stirring it until the sugar has dissolved are the first steps in creating mulled cider. You then add ingredients such as spices and citrus fruits to give the cider more flavor, bring it to a boil and you’re ready to pour a delightful fall favorite.

As you are in the bar business, you may want to consider adding a kick to your mulled apple cider by throwing some rum or brandy in the mix. That will really warm your guests up from the cold autumn nights.

People have been drinking this aromatic beverage for hundreds of years; keep the tradition alive by offering up a warm treat on National Hot Mulled Cider Day.
