NCB Top 100 Opens Soon — Who Will Reign Supreme?September 30, 2010 By: Emily Hanna Mayock
Last year was my first experience with the Nightclub & Bar Top 100 — a list of the top revenue-generating nightclubs, bars and lounges across the country. The results were amazing — the No. 1 and 2 spots, XS and Tao, each pulled in $50-60 million last year, while bars and clubs from around the country earned their way on the list, from Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis, S.D., at No. 6, Kilroy’s Sports Bar in Bloomington, Ind., at No. 39 and El Rodeo Disco in Houston, Texas, rounding out the list at No. 100. And now it’s time again. On Oct. 14 the survey for the 2011 Nightclub & Bar Top 100 opens, and I want to see your club’s name on there when we release the list in March!
Once again, we’re teaming up with Chicago-based food industry consulting and market research firm Technomic, Inc. to develop the Top 100 — the only listing of the nation’s top-grossing high-volume nightclubs, bars and lounges. All you need to do is go online to nightclub.com between Oct. 14 and Dec. 1 and answer a few simple questions about your business. More than anything, I’m hoping your club is doing well enough that, no matter where you’re located, you can make this list! Although Las Vegas, Miami and New York capture quite a few spots, there’s still plenty of space for other clubs and lounges throughout the U.S.
Technomic uses some secondary research, including public databases and sources, scans of major metro markets and industry resources, in order to populate this list, but the survey results are crucial. If you want your name on this list — and who wouldn’t want to be known as one of the 100 biggest moneymakers in the country? — then you need to fill out this survey! So what are you waiting for? Log on to www.nightclub.com and click on the Top 100 button to take the survey. It will only take a few minutes and could help your club gain great fame!
Oh, and did I mention the other perks? Top 100 venue operators receive a complimentary registration for the 2011 Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas (March 7-9) and free entry to the Top 100 Party at the Show, coverage in the March issue of Nightclub & Bar magazine and online at nightclub.com.
Good luck to all the clubs in the country — here’s hoping we can share a toast to your success at the 2011 Show!
