Hey Clubs: NCB Awards Open with More Nightclub SpotsOctober 14, 2010 By: Emily Hanna Mayock
Want to be recognized as one of the top clubs in the country? Now’s your shot! The Nightclub & Bar Awards are back yet again, with even more opportunities for clubs to show off their venues.
New this year is the Dayclub of the Year category, which provides you the perfect opportunity to show off what happens while the sun’s still up at your club. Plus, to recognize the uniqueness of the Las Vegas market, we’ve given the city its own category. This will not only showcase Las Vegas clubs but also give a chance for clubs in all cities around the country their rightful chance to shine. Where are you, Midwest (and you, especially, Cleveland!)?
Here’s a list of the Nightclub categories; visit nightclubandbarawards.com for more information and to nominate yourself or your favorite venue.
• Mega-Club of the Year
• New Club of the Year
• Nightclub of the Year
• Dayclub of the Year
• Ongoing Promotion/Party/Event of the Year
• Resident DJ of the Year
• Single Promotion/Party/Event of the Year
• Ultra-Lounge of the Year
These categories exist for the Las Vegas category as well.
And for those of you club folks with friends on the Bar side, here are their categories:
• Bartender of the Year
• Beer Bar of the Year
• Cocktail Lounge of the Year
• Hotel Bar of the Year
• Small Wonder Bar of the Year
• Sports Bar of the Year
• Wine Bar of the Year
Entering is easy — just upload a description of your club (or event, DJ, etc.) and why you should win the category as well as any accompanying photos, videos or other documents to support your case. Then, a superior set of judges, including industry journalists, DJs and consultants, will select their top choices to become finalists and the winner will be announced before the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show in March.
What do you get for winning? Aside from serious bragging rights, winners will receive complimentary passes to the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas (March 7-9), where they’ll be celebrated with a red carpet ceremony, and they’ll also be featured in Nightclub & Bar magazine and online at nightclub.com. Oh, and of course, right here in Nightclub Confidential.
So what are you waiting for? Visit nightclubandbarawards.com to enter and show off what makes your club shine. I can’t wait to read all of the entries and see all of the stunning clubs — and hopefully meet you on the red carpet at next year’s Show!
