Check out the United States Bartenders’ Guild’s invitation to participate in the United States Finlandia Vodka Cup qualifying round. The winner will earn an opportunity to compete in the 13th Annual International Finlandia Vodka Cup, Jan. 31-Feb. 3 in Finland. To compete, you must submit two original drink recipes: a Finlandia aperitif and a Finlandia long drink at www.usbg.org. The drinks will be judged on Dec. 20 and the winner announced on Dec. 21. The winner of the U.S. qualifying round will attend a training session in Las Vegas with USBG National Ambassador Tony Abou-Ganim, to practice for the final category in the International Finals in Finland. The finals will be the “Quick Mix,” an Iron Chef-style category where bartenders are provided with a mystery box of ingredients. To learn more about the Finlandia Vodka Cup, visit www.usbg.org.
