Having opened its doors in September 2006, Tenjune, a celebrity hotspot located in the heart of New York City’s Meatpacking District, is the brainchild of EMM Group owners Eugene Remm, Mark Birnbaum and business entrepreneur Michael Hirtenstein.
Recently renovated in February 2011, upon setting foot inside the venue, Tenjune’s fresh aesthetic is immediately apparent. The entryway boasts a striking, shattered wood tunnel that encases the main stairwell and features an integrated light installation as guests descend into the below-street-level club. Inside, Tenjune features three unique areas, with three very distinct vibes, satiating all nightlife desires within one space. Tenjune’s main bar serves as the centerpiece of the club, incorporating the wooden textures introduced in the entrance and enhancing the extended light installation as a focal point of this space. Overhead, wooden waves ripple across the ceiling and continue into the venue’s infamous horseshoe-shaped dance floor. Rare illuminated light boxes with imagery of magazine pin-up girls, lions, gorillas, skeletons and hot air balloons, act as interactive wallpaper that wraps around the dance floor. An advanced LED lighting system, installed via hanging panels from the club’s ceiling, project rotating graphic images and dramatic lighting schemes. Passing through the grand arch over the main bar, guests enter the semi-private Marble Lounge, combining luxury and intimacy for a perfect balance of unmitigated ambiance. The illuminated graphic wallpaper also appears above The Marble Lounge’s fireplace, completing the seamless transition from sleek and stylish décor to an intimate setting with personal hospitality service for a unique nightlife experience.
A space that truly embraces the many phases of an evening out in New York, Tenjune is the combination of luxury, intimacy and stylish décor where patrons can come to dance to music spun by a slue of sought-after DJs, including DJ Chachi and DJ Cassidy, sip on top-shelf liquor and champagne and exquisite specialty cocktails with friends or co-workers, and watch live performances by superstars such as Lady Gaga and Kanye West.
Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum along with business entrepreneur Michael Hirtenstein founded EMM Group in 2006 and have since built it into one of New York’s most successful and multi-faceted hospitality management companies. The company is currently ranked #62 in the food and beverage category on the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies.
