The Places To Be
This Year's Show Party Pace is Right on the Money
By Jenny Adams

What happens when you put all of the people in the country who throw some of the best parties in the world several times a year, all of the liquor, beer and wine companies, some of the world's greatest DJs and thousands of people out for a good time, in the same room?

From beverage companies to food distributors to the elite on the party scene, "The Show" doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Given a chance to give it their all, these sponsors are going to extremes in the realm of nightlife entertainment.

So, in honor of all of you who couldn't make it last year, and all of you returning, let have a look at the line-up. After all, we know you aren't coming just for the seminars!

The Kickoff To It All

Generally Sunday is a day of rest, but you can rest when you are dead, so "The Show" gets serious with the Market Maker Awards Cocktail Hour beginning at 6 p.m. as the moon rises over the Neptune Pool at Caesar's Palace. It's a chance to greet old friends and make some new ones this year, as we honor the innovative and industrious in this business. Voted on by the Top 100 Clubs, this is a toast to the best products of the year, and both the nominees and winners will be recognized.

Afterwards, the party moves to the Apollo Pool at 8 p.m. to accommodate the plush, black-tie Five Star Awards event. Last years 20th Anniversary Award Gala is this year's Stars are Shining Dinner, as the brightest of the food and beverage industry are toasted for their excellence. This party definitely sets the tone for the sheer prowess that "The Show" commands, all surrounded by the elegance of temple-styled cabanas and shimmering blue water.

First Day Fiestas
Hate Mondays? Well, let's add some celebration. The packed night starts with Get Real with Future Brands LLC and Anheuser Busch and Friends. This party will make you want to run home and redo your drink list. Signature drinks abound, along with cold beer and hot food inside the Augustus Ballroom at Caesar's Palace, but a mere two hours later, we are going exotic. A brand new place for a proven posh party, Tao Asian Bistro and Nightclub, is the scene for this year's Main Event hosted by Las Vegas Food and Beverage Magazine. You can mingle and dine with the best club owners and operators in North America as we honor our Top 100 Editors' Choices. This brand new venue has a lot of surprises in store.

As the clock strikes 10 p.m., the club tour takes energizing effect with the premiere Rock the Block event, brought to you by DeLuca Liquor & Wine Ltd. A VIP admission ticket will gain you access to clubs that will make you jealous and enraptured all at once, and this tour really proves what makes Vegas, so very very Vegas. The ticket also includes free transportation. So sit back and have a cocktail or two, and leave the rest to us.

A Don't Miss Tuesday
Beginning at 7 p.m., "The Show" celebrates that old elixir of life. Vino Las Vegas is back again for it's third, charming year at the Augustus Ballroom in Caesar's. All proceeds from this event are headed straight for the Sky Ranch, the industry's adopted charity, so grab a glass and some valuable information on the country's best offerings from the vine.

Things get warmer at Kahunaville, at the Treasure Island Casino and Resort. Hosted by Cruzan Rum and Island Oasis, the frozen drinks here are sensational and it is paradise on the patio.

There is an enormous amount to see and taste on Tuesday, as the party continues with Sidney Frank Unleashed presenting their entire portfolio starting at 10 p.m. The Coors sponsored Elevation party is a new twist this year, with an extravaganza that will grow upon itself. For those of you interested in a seriously fun late-night, the GBLT party kicks off at 11 p.m. at the world famous Krave.

Finally, if it hasn't been enough for you and yours these past three evenings, Wednesday night culminates in a massive DJ spin-off at the one and only Studio 54. Hosted by Promo Only, this event helps hype "The Show" all year long. This is every DJ's dream -- competing to be the best in front of the best club owners in America. Need more be said?

This year's parties are sure to top last year's -- and then some. See for yourself, though. Register early, plan out your parties, and hop in line!
