Fashion Forward
In a place where modeling agencies and fashion are plentiful, it
only made sense to bring them under roof for one exciting night. Bamboo
Dance Club & Bed Garden in Cape Coral, Fla., held its first-ever
full moon fashion festival, which featured 25 of the hottest
international models.
“We wanted to create something different for the Southwest Florida
community,” says Mauricio Pallares, coordinator of Full Moon Fashion
Festival. “We chose some of the best international designers, including
Casas, Nya and Pavana.” Pallares found most of his models from a
modeling agency and personal referrals. Initially, there were 35
models, but the designers only wanted to work with the top 25.
The Fashion Festival included Oda’s, a Spanish rock band, which
provided live performances during the model runways, as well as Naples
Playes, a Spanish actors group, and fire dancers.
Entry to the festival was $15 for regular admissions and $25 for
VIP access. Even with bad weather and limited marketing, nearly 200
people came to show their support.
Azteca American and Que Pasa by Telemundo 43 served as the sponsors for the event.
