Guests Love the Guiness
Ever have those days when you feel like you must have pulled that beer tap one million times? Well, at the Denver, Colo., location of Fadó Irish Pub, bartenders will be making the statement in earnest sometime in late spring or early summer of 2007. But there are no complaints for this on-premise crew. Sometime during these months, a patron will order what amounts to that particular location’s one-millionth pint of Guinness. This will be the third location for the chain to make the astronomical sale, and they intend to celebrate and reward both the patron and the lucky bartender who pours it.
“The idea is that, hopefully, we will be able to gauge it so that one lucky patron will win something very special,” says Regional Manager Eric Peterson. “It could be a trip for two to Ireland. The employee will win something as well. Maybe a trip to any Fadó location.”
As a company, Fadó strives to have the freshest pint of Guinness in every city, with the realization that if they can turn a patron on to their Guinness one time, they have won a regular for life.
“We are absolutely fanatical about our Guinness standards,” Peterson says. “Every time we empty a barrel of Guinness, we also ring a bell. It bolsters a little more excitement in the building.”
With the excitement building day by day, the 6,000 square-foot space expects an outrageous party and a night to remember after that special pint is served.
