Profitably Pomegranate
Northern California’s artisan family distillery, Charbay Distillers, announces the addition of Pomegranate Vodka to its line-up of handcrafted flavored vodkas made with real fruit.
“You’ll immediately recognize the earthy, spicy-floral taste of fresh pomegranates,” said 13th generation Distiller Marko Karakasevic. “On the rocks or with a splash of soda — this is what flavored vodka is all about.”
The vodka is flavored exclusively with California-grown pomegranates. No additional flavorings, essences or colors are ever added to Charbay Vodkas. “People are becoming sophisticated about vodka. They’re not fooled by factory-created flavors once they taste the difference. We’ve always believed in working with nature, not trying to duplicate it,” Karakasevic said.
In 1998, Charbay debut Blood Orange and Meyer Lemon Vodka. They were the first vodkas in the U.S. market that were flavored exclusively with real fruit. Last year, Marko was awarded the title of “Vodka Visionary” by Food & Wine magazine for his contribution to the spirits industry.

It's a Family Tradition
Rhum Clément, producer of ultra-premium rhum agricole from Martinique since 1887, has arrived in the United States with three distinct rums from its portfolio: Rhum Clément Première Canne, Rhum Clément V.S.O.P. Rum and Rhum Clément Liqueur Créole Shrubb. Building upon its distinct legacy, Rhum Clément produces Rhum Agricole at Habitation Clément in Le Francois, Martinique.
Homère Clément, founder of Rhum Clément , purchased Domaine de l’Acajou, one of Martinique’s superior sugar plantations, in 1887 to distill rum directly from the free-run juice of the sugarcane. For 120 years, the Rhum Clément tradition has continued and is now available to consumers in the United States.
Rhum Clément Première Canne, Rhum Clément V.S.O.P. Rum and Rhum Clément Liqueur Créole Shrubb are ultra-premium rhum agricoles that are made in the strict observance of the current guidelines regulating their certification with French Appellation D’Origine Controlée (A.O.C) in Martinique.

Big Style
Cuban Heritage’s Grand Havana Rum continues to proliferate the burgeoning rum market with its blend of 5- to 7-year-old rum. The on-premise success has been the result of the brand’s family recipe, which originally was produced in Cuba at the turn of the 19th century.
Cuban Heritage produces its rum in Grenada, partially using molasses from Piajota Cuban sugar cane growing in the island of Grenada. Some facts make this formula unique: distillation takes place in copper stills, not column distillation as most rum is produced today, and aging is done in sherry casks.
Grand Havana is a limited, small-batch production rum in which all bottles are hand-numbered according to batch production, and each bottle of Grand Havana Rum is packaged in an elegant faux black alligator skin gift canister — nice for shelf or bottle service presentation to patrons.
