Product Protection
There’s nothing like the CompX eLock. The eLock is a
stand-alone access control electronic lock for cabinetry that can be
used almost anywhere access control is required.
Also available for on-premise operators is the CompX
eLock refrigerator kit. It provides the same security capabilities as
the original eLock, and the refrigerator kit secures your valuable cold
storage items.
CompX eLock features: 250 user/supervisor codes;
add/delete users at the unit; motor-driven latching mechanism; four AA
battery pack mounts remotely; low battery indicator and a jump start
9-volt battery power port allows users to access the eLock even when
batteries are exhausted.
The eLock product’s applications also include
employee or customer records, drink and supply cabinets, coolers and
refrigerators, lockers, key control boxes, equipment storage and food
and drink storage.
LockView Software from CompX Security Products is a
Windows-based software program (sold separately) that allows
supervisors to monitor audit trails for the last 1,500 access attempts
with date, time and user name.
The program allows users to download, view, save,
print, archive and delete audit trails. Dual credential access is
available, and it has time-based access restrictions. Together, CompX
eLock and LockView software put you in total control.

TurboTap
In what might be the best news
for beer since the repeal of Prohibition, Laminar Technologies brought
together fluid engineers and draft beer industry experts to develop the
first commercial-ready version of TurboTap. This ground-breaking, fluid
controlling technology can pour draft beer up to four times faster than
a conventional tap and increase standard keg yield by up to 30 percent
through less spillage, ease of use and a consistent collar of foam.
TurboTap essentially acts as a jet engine with exceptional performance
for pouring draft beer.
TurboTap is quickly and easily retrofitted to
existing draft beer dispensing systems. Once the TurboTap is up and
running, ongoing cleaning and maintenance are straightforward and
economical.
Insightful Transaction Monitoring
In Sight Commander Systems has developed a computer
program that reads POS transactions and analyzes them in a proprietary
behavior analytics program. This ingenious software compares server and
bartender ordering behavior to each other, to past behavior and even to
behavior of employees at similar businesses.
The program looks for certain patterns or profiles
and compares such things as draft beer sales to bottled beer, or wine
by the glass to wine by the bottle. This new program also compares
credit card tips, cash sales and comps.
It's Da Bomb
John Lingo, president and CEO of Lingo Inc., d/b/a
Tooters Promotions and A New World Production, unveils another product
in their plastic drinkware line of products. Da Bomb, a double-barrel
shotglass, is a quality money-maker at affordable price.
The Da Bomb glass is made from clear styrene
material offering durability and good looks. The center barrel holds
approximately 1 ounce, and the outer cup holds approximately 6 ounces
and can be imprinted with your logo or brand.
“The bar or restaurant will realize profits in three
ways,” Lingo says. Money can be from a logoed souvenir program, from
the beverage in the glass and through free advertising inside and
outside the bar.
