These Summertime Beverages
Are A Tip Jar's Dream
Beginning
with the first days of June, make sure your drink list appeals to all
of those patrons in from a hot day for a cool drink. Tropical drinks
are by far easier to sell in the summer, and patrons will appreciate
the extra creative effort.
In addition to setting up table tents and educating
your bartenders, try placing dry erase boards or even old-fashioned
chalkboards with recipe listings outside to lure patrons in off the
sultry street. “Ice Cream Sundays” is a wonderful promotion to boost
sales, for example. Include a free ice cream dessert with the purchase
of these drinks during Happy Hour on the last day of the week.
Also, make sure you offer as many as you can in a
virgin option for the younger crowd and those who don’t drink. There is
no reason to forgo the potential profits.
Here’s to hoping that these creative libation
combinations will help finally shake off spring and herald in
summer.
