Revenue Review
Outdoor breezes may be decreasingly brisk, but
business these days is quite the opposite. It most definitely is a
season of sunshine and equally enjoyable warm-weather sales. Here at
Nightclub & Bar, we’re still feeling the heat from “The Show” in
Las Vegas this past March, as hot parties and intense networking
proffered some financial friction for everyone there. It was fun;
there’s no doubt about that.
What really has us smiling now, though, is the
springtime promise of profit for the industry. As guests coast to coast
prepare to grab a glass and hit the patios, suppliers are busy rolling
out new products to meet that demand, and operators are keeping
occupied planning promotions to spice up the night ever more than
before. From sports bar games to vacation giveaways, operators are
becoming increasingly adept at turning work into play and vice versa.
These thoughts seemed to be at the very core of “The
Show” this year, and it was gratifying to witness such a broad and yet
very targeted assembly of professionals, products and services — all
intent on boosting your lines and continuing the growth the hospitality
sector is seeing. For a visual feast of these happenings, please check
out Nightclub & Bar’s Special Show Coverage Section, and I hope you
enjoy this issue as much as we’re all enjoying the recent blue skies
and bright prospects.
Cheers,

Taylor Rau

Corrections: In the portion
control story for April on page 57, it was reported that Jeff Davies
used Precision Pours, and it helped reduce his cost. It actually was
Pro Tek (protekdevices.com). We regret the error.
