Nightlife Update Make the Rounds!
If you think you know what’s new and hip in Vegas,
think again. As in any city, the Vegas nightlife scene constantly is
changing and evolving. Here, we’ve compiled a list of the newest
nightlife destinations that have opened since “The Show” last year for
your review.
Tao at the Venetian Hotel ––
This 40,000 square-foot restaurant, nightclub and ultra-lounge is it.
For those craving a high-energy, DJ-driven atmosphere, the Tao
Nightclub boasts a 40 foot-long outside terrace with stunning views of
the Las Vegas Strip, gorgeous go-go dancers, state-of-the-art audio and
lighting systems and two main rooms each featuring varying music
formats. This ultimate nightlife facility also offers eight private
skyboxes with mini-bars and banquettes featuring secured purse drawers
as well as bottle service. The Tao Nightclub opens at 10 p.m. Thursday,
Friday and Saturday only.
The opulent Tao Lounge serves as a chic gathering spot ideal for
cocktails and conversation. It opens at 5 p.m. Tuesday – Sunday.
Jet at The Mirage Hotel ––
Jet Nightclub is the latest evolution of nightlife
artistry developed
by the Light Group. Jet features three distinct rooms with three dance
floors as well as three separate sound systems to present please a
variety of tastes. All rooms feature spacious and luxurious
accommodations as well as bottle service provided in the ideal
nightclub
setting.
Mix at Mandalay Bay ––
Recently remodeled with a large dance floor in the center of the room
and alterations to the outdoor patio, Mix Lounge, located on the 64th
floor atop THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, offers guests stunning 360-degree
views of the Strip and the Vegas valley from its floor-to-ceiling
windows. The intimate, 298-capacity lounge features wall-to-wall black
leather decor with red lighting. The place to be, however, is outside
on the balcony. Low lounges and tables allow guests to sit back, relax
and take in an amazing view of the Strip. You’ll actually be looking
down at the Luxor light next door. Mix is open seven days a
week.
Pussycat Dolls Lounge at Caesars Palace ––
This Burlesque-themed club/lounge adjacent to Pure Nightclub has
Hollywood’s famous Pussycat Dolls Burlesque troupe and its sexy stage
show. This is the classic Pussycat Dolls Lounge at Caesars Palace.
Walls are painted red and are adorned with large photographic portraits
of Dolls celebrity guest performers including Paris Hilton, Charlize
Theron and Christina Aguilera. Performances are quick, but the Dolls
reappear every 20 to 30 minutes with new routines. In between
performances, a DJ spins Rock music. Open Tuesday –
Saturday.
Tryst at Wynn Hotel (formerly La Bete) ––
Hit the dance floor with a whole new look as Tryst Nightclub at Wynn
Las Vegas presents its multi-million dollar re-opening. Down the stairs
from the front entrance enjoy drinks at the Martini and Champagne
lounge. When you approach the extended dance floor, you will see a 90-
foot waterfall flowing into the lake with a forest scenery. Totaling 70
tables, all close to the dance floor, no one will miss the party. DJs
spin a diverse blend of Top 40, Hip-Hop, Mash-Ups and House. Open
Thursday – Saturday.
Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce at the Mandalay Bay ––
Unparalleled dancers from around the world perform old-school Burlesque
striptease to a live Jazz trio from a time when erotic revue was an art
form. A-list DJs spin an eclectic mix of upbeat Dance music in between
performances. Open 10:30 p.m. till dawn.
