‘The Show’ Adds a Landmark Mexican Counterpart
With a progressive mindset and the dedication to introduce new ways
of thinking to the Mexican bar industry, “The Show” and a firm in
Mexico have created a landmark partnership.
Oxford Publishing Inc., producer of “The Show” in Las Vegas, has
announced the launch of an international Nightclub & Bar show to be
held in Mexico City, June 18-19, 2008.
Oxford is partnering in the franchise of the Nightclub & Bar
brand with Expo NCB, a company formed by Francisco Aguilar, a
distinguished Mexico City-based businessman, and his son, Guillermo
Aguilar, one of Mexico’s top marketing pros, to create the first Expo
Nightclub & Bar Mexico.
Leaders Bringing Order
“My son Guillermo started to visit (the Nightclub & Bar) shows
about three years ago,” Francisco Aguilar says. “He’s very involved in
the industry, because he has an advertising company. Some of our
customers are Bacardi, Beam Global and Sauza.
“We think we can help the industry by taking ‘The Show’ to Mexico.
So, we approached the leader in that area, which is Nightclub &
Bar, and met with Ed (Meek, president and CEO of Oxford) and Jennifer
(Robinson, COO of Oxford) last year.
“We hope we will bring more order to the industry in Mexico and do
the things you’re doing here. With NAFTA, we are very tied in a lot of
regulations and the way you do marketing and sales and everything.”
A Great Opportunity

& Bar brand to this important and rapidly expanding market,” Meek
says. “Mexico offers American companies a great opportunity for sales
growth. Expo Nightclub & Bar Mexico will be an extraordinary event
attracting hospitality industry professionals from throughout Latin

“The Show,” held in Las Vegas each year — February 24-27, 2008, is
next — is the largest beverage and food event in the Western Hemisphere
and includes the Las Vegas International Restaurant Show, the Las Vegas
Hospitality Expo, and Nightclub & Bar Beverage and Food show. The
East Coast version of “The Show” will be held in Atlantic City October
8-10, 2007.
