Tales of Wales
Penderyn (pronounced pen-dare-in), literally meaning
“the head of the bird” in Welsh, is the first malt whisky, single malt,
to be produced in Wales in more than a century, and in addition to
spurring economic growth in Wales, it continues to be embraced by
American consumers.
Produced by The Welsh Whisky Co. after eight years
of development under Chairman and Founder Brian Morgan, Penderyn is a
perfect addition to any retailer’s mix of single malt Scotch, Irish and
single-barrel bourbons.
From its Welsh home, Penderyn has spread to
customers in the rest of the UK, France, Holland, Belgium, Denmark,
Australia and New Zealand. “By uniting time-honored distillation and
maturation methods with modern technology, we believe we have produced
a whisky that captures the spirit of the new, contemporary Wales,”
Morgan said. “It stands flavorfully on its own.”

Spaten North America Inc. again is proud to
celebrate the arrival of spring by the selling of its very special
Spaten Bock from Germany. Production of this special brew was started
last fall when the hops and barley were at their peak, then it was
fermented through the winter with the precise ratio of malt to hops
that guarantees it is balanced to perfection. Spaten Bock is a
deep golden colored beer with a rich malt flavor. It is prefect to
enjoy as the days get longer.
“What many people don’t know is that ‘Bock,’ in
German, means goat, and that is why a goat is featured on our Spaten
Bock promotional materials,” Sieb said. “This eye-catching design will
certainly catch people’s attention.”
Spaten Bock is brewed in accordance with the
Bavarian Purity law of 1516, and alcohol by volume is 6.5 percent and
original gravity is 11.7 degrees. too.
